Peace, by Anna Marie Lawrence

Sometimes in our garden of life,
We have to pick the weeds of
Anger and hurt;
Plant the seeds of forgiveness
To get the fruit of love.

We have to pick the weeds
Of gossip and intolerance;
Plant the seed of equality
To get the fruit of justice.

And when we pick the weeds
Of abuse and violence;
Plant the seed of
Understanding,
We have the fruit of peace.
