Movie “To See What I See” Features NLCMH Stigma Busters!

2655_medium.jpg

Check out a trailer of our new movie, To See What I See: The Stigma of Mental Illness. This 20-minute movie, produced by Mary Pierce and Jeff Morgan, tells the story of our Stigma Busters’ work to help make a difference in our local communities. Stigma Busters have come together to create photobiographies, art work, media campaigns, buttons, and other creative projects in order to spread the good news that recovery from a mental illness is possible. The photo above features buttons with sayings that were created by the Stigma Busters group. The movie is available to be shown at community meetings, along with a discussion panel with some of the authors who have created their photobiography stories. You can purchase the movie at Film Baby (or see the trailer).

This is both a rewarding and empowering video that I suggest everyone check out!
